Who we are

This website is operated by Hart Therapy ("we", "us", "our"), a person-centred counselling practice run by Elena Hart, based in Sheffield, United Kingdom. You can contact us at hello@harttherapypractice.co.uk or on 0114 234 5678.

What information we collect

We collect information you give us directly, such as when you:

• Book a call through our booking page, including your name, email address, and any notes you choose to add.
• Sign up to our "Stay Connected" mailing list, which collects your email address.
• Email or phone us directly with an enquiry.

We do not collect sensitive information (such as details about your health or therapy history) through this website. That conversation happens directly with Elena, once we're in contact, and is covered separately by our Confidentiality Policy.

How we use your information

We use the information you provide to respond to your enquiry, arrange and confirm calls or sessions, and, where you've opted in, send occasional updates about availability. We don't sell or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Our legal basis for processing

We rely on your consent when you submit a booking or sign up to the mailing list, and on our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries you send us directly. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.

Third-party services

Our site embeds a Google Map to show our practice area, which may set its own cookies when the map loads. Our booking page is hosted on our own web hosting; no third-party booking or payment processor currently receives your data through this site. How long we keep your information

Enquiry and booking details are kept only as long as needed to respond to you and arrange your session, and are deleted or anonymised after that unless you go on to become a client, at which point our Confidentiality Policy applies. Mailing list details are kept until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to ask us what information we hold about you, to correct it, to ask us to delete it, and to object to how we use it. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@harttherapypractice.co.uk. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date at the top.
